About Orbits

Original Business IT Solutions Ltd is a provider of IT Solutions and Services to the SME market in Wales and the West. Based in the Vale of Glamorgan our team of qualified and experienced engineers are able to advise, investigate, diagnose and resolve all manner of requirements and problems.

Original Business IT Solutions Ltd (Orbits) has been setup with a clear mission statement, “To put customer service back into the IT support sector”. We are dedicated to being open, honest and customer focused. As a client of Orbits you will receive the highest quality service across the board - from our customer focused support desk, to our creative design team and experienced system engineers behind the scenes.

Meet the Directors

Peter White

Peter White - Director

Peter is the Managing Director and co-founder of Original Business IT Solutions. Prior to this he was a Senior Consultant in the Technology group at Deloitte, where he specialised in Technical Delivery, Project Management and Web Development.

Peter has worked with broad range of public and private sector organisations including BSkyB, Cancer Reasearch UK and the Department of Work and Pensions.

Career Highlights

  • Designing and delivering new online payments and MS Exchange email systems for Greenwich Council.
  • Developing Transport for London’s Oystercard online application.
  • Designing and delivering reporting systems for John Lewis and Waitrose.
  • Assessing the impact on IT systems of the merger of two UK high street banks.

Jim Lewington

Jim Lewington - Director

Jim is the Technical Director and co-founder of Original Business IT Solutions. Having been an IT professional for many years, Jim has experienced all aspects of IT support and management. Jim is a Microsoft qualified IT engineer and a certified ITIL professional.

Career Highlights

  • Forming Orbits and putting Customer Service back into the IT support industry!
  • Working for Logica out of South Wales, Jim was a fundamental part of the Change Management Consultancy team and was responsible for projects such as the Department of Trade and Industry Virtualisation Initiative and the support of systems and resources for Transport for London.
  • Supporting many charities and not for profit organisations whilst employed by the Cadarn Housing group. Organisations such as Care and Repair Cymru, Welsh Women’s Aid and TPAS Cymru all benefited from the skills and experience Jim brought with him.
